Information WAGL Collects
- Account details such as name, email address, and phone number when a user registers.
- Usage activity such as games created or joined, communications with other users, and in-app interactions.
- Device details such as hardware, operating system, and device identifiers.
- Essential cookies and local storage for login, security, routing, and remembering privacy choices.
- Location information, with consent, to support location-based services.
How Information Is Used
- To provide, maintain, and improve the WAGL app.
- To support communication between users and personalize the app experience.
- To understand product usage and improve services.
- To run challenges and align community activities with suitable brand partners.
- To send service updates, promotional messages, respond to requests, and provide support.
Sharing Information
- Profile and game participation details may be visible to accepted contacts in the app.
- Service providers may receive information when they provide hosting, analytics, or similar services for WAGL.
- Information may be disclosed when required by law or valid government request.
- Information may transfer as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
User Choices
- Users can update account information in the app or by contacting WAGL.
- Users can accept, reject, or change optional local storage choices from Privacy & Security settings.
- Location collection can be controlled through device settings.
- Promotional communication preferences can be managed through the instructions in those messages.
Security, Children, And Changes
- WAGL uses reasonable security measures, but no internet or electronic storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
- WAGL is not intended for users under 18 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
- Policy updates may be posted in the app, and continued use after the effective date means acceptance of the revised policy.
Terms Of Service
These terms are a practical draft for the current WAGL product. They should be reviewed by counsel before a wider public launch.
Using WAGL
- WAGL helps golfers create games, find local rounds, invite players, join clubs, coordinate messages, respond to polls, and manage golf-related activity.
- Users are responsible for keeping account details accurate and for using the app lawfully and respectfully.
- Users must not impersonate others, interfere with the service, scrape the app, misuse messaging, or upload unlawful, misleading, abusive, or harmful content.
Accounts, Profiles, And Clubs
- Account access is personal to the registered user. Users are responsible for keeping login methods secure.
- Profile information, game participation, club membership, and selected activity may be visible to other users where needed for the app to function.
- Club owners and admins are responsible for managing their club pages, events, members, announcements, and moderation decisions fairly.
Games, Polls, Events, And Scoring
- Game hosts are responsible for the accuracy of round details such as course, time, format, player limit, visibility, and cancellation decisions.
- Players are responsible for checking course rules, tee times, eligibility, availability, weather, and any costs before attending.
- Scores, ratings, handicaps, leaderboards, and event results are provided as community and product features. They should not be treated as official handicap, competition, or governing-body records unless clearly stated.
Payments And Third-Party Services
- Where payments are available, payment processing may be provided by third-party providers. Their own terms and policies may apply.
- Users are responsible for reviewing any game, club, event, or payment details before committing.
- WAGL may use third-party services for authentication, hosting, maps, payments, analytics, storage, email, and support.
User Content And Conduct
- Users keep ownership of content they add, but grant WAGL permission to host, display, process, and share it as needed to operate the app.
- WAGL may remove content, restrict accounts, or moderate activity where needed to protect users, clubs, the service, or legal obligations.
- Users should report unsafe, abusive, fraudulent, or inappropriate activity through support or available app controls.
Availability, Changes, And Liability
- WAGL is provided on an as-available basis. Features may change, pause, or be removed as the product develops.
- WAGL is not responsible for golf course conditions, player conduct, missed tee times, travel, weather, injuries, disputes between users, or third-party service failures.
